Why do I get the crazies? (ebay)

(language warning)

I think I somehow attract the crazies on ebay...I don't know how or why, but they seem to just flock to me.

For example... I was trying to not really mention this here, since it pains me so, but I'm actually selling the 1958 Rambler I got a month ago (I know, I know). While I was careful to not put any rust pictures up here, I believe I mentioned it had rust issues. Well, it turns out there was more rust than I had originally thought (or been told), and I just didn't have the time or money to deal with a car that had bad frame rail rust in addition to rusted rocker panels and fenders. I knew I probably wouldn't get what I payed (or I might, it was pretty cheap), but either way it was time to sell it... So yesterday I listed it on ebay, with a description I thought was pretty good. I said that it had bad frame rail rust, and would get higher quality pictures, along with rust pictures, up asap. Here's the link. Tell me what you think. Anyways, I then get this lovely message from an ebayer:

"HELLO THERE YOU STUPID BITCH

IF THE FRAME RAILS ARE RUSTED THE CAR IS SHOT YOU STUPID TWAT. IF YOUR BUYER TRIES TO JERK THAT TURD OUT OF THE SNOW WITH A TOW TRUCK THE OLD HAG WILL SPLIT LIKE A CHICKEN, YOU FUCKING SOW. DRAG THE OLD HAG TO A CRUSHER AND HER GO OUT WITH SOME DIGINTY, TO BE REBORN AS A HONDA OR A CHINESE FLOOR JACK. YOUR DESCRIPTION OF THE CAR MAKES NO SENSE WHATSOEVER, ARE YOU ON CRACK? ARE YOU TOO LAZY OR STUPID TO SHOVEL THE SNOW AROUND THE SHITBOX OR DOES THE SNOW HIDE THE ROTTED OUT FRAME RAILS?"

I was so shocked upon opening the message. Do people think it's alright to send messages like this to complete strangers?? I was so hurt! I understand if he had concerns, but to say it like that? I put an addendum in the listing, voicing his concerns (albeit in a more polite tone).

I'm not crazy- this guy is way outa line, right?

  4. Now I am going to get all gushy and gooey: I think I love you. You are way funny. Great blog. Yep some people suck and I think I have run into too many of them. I am really beginning to understand why I totally avoid contact with some people. Came over from Vintage Sue's.

  5. Some people aren't happy unless they are making other people unhappy. Sad but true. The best thing you can do is ignore it and move on.

  7. LOL! I would have laughed, rolled my eyes, and thanked my lucky stars that I was not that person.

Remember, you don't know this person, so their words can have no effect unless you let them. ;)

I answered them the first 5 or 6 times but they just keep doing it but have never bought anything. Just ignore them...people like this crack me up!
